Ranu Mondal is a Bengali singer from Ranaghat. Ranu’s song Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai was recorded on the Ranaghat station in July 2019 and published on social media by Atindra Chakraborty. When Bollywood artist Himesh Reshammiya viewed the video, he was blown away by Ranu’s performance and invited her to sing in his studio.

Ranu Mondal Singing Career
Mondal made his debut in Himesh Reshammiya’s film by performing a song. After that, she was invited to participate in the singing reality program Superstar Singer. According to reports, she will also play the Durga Puja theme song for a club in Kolkata.
Ranu Mondol began her career in Mumbai by doing odd jobs. She went on to work in a nightclub in Mumbai after that. Ranu left the profession after a short time because her spouse Bablu disagreed. After her ex-husband died, she went to her birthplace of Ranaghat and lived in poverty there alone. Mondal began earning money by performing songs at the Ranaghat railway station. After a video of her performing the song ‘Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai’ became popular on social media, she shot to fame.
Mondal was a huge fan of India’s nightingale, Lata Mangeshkar, and aspired to be just like her. Atindra Chakraborty, a young engineer from West Bengal, captured a video of Ranu Mondal singing Lata Mangeshkar’s 1972 song Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai from Shor at the Ranaghat Railway Station in West Bengal in 2019. It became viral on social media after he published it on Facebook within a day or two.
She was eventually invited to a singing reality program when she got famous on the internet, and she hasn’t looked back since. Himesh Reshammiya, one of the judges on the reality program, was so taken with her voice that he asked her to perform for his future film.
Ranu Mondal has performed on Teri Meri Kahani, Aashiqui Mein Teri, and Aadat. Ranu Mondal’s fame, however, did not last long, as she was mocked for her behavior when a video appeared on the internet in which she snubbed a fan. Soon, Ranu Mondal was attacked on social media after a photo of her at an event dressed out in heavy jewelry and makeup went viral.
When Lata Mangeshkar later learned of Ranu Mondal, she voiced her joy, albeit with concerns. She remarked I consider myself fortunate if anyone benefits from my name and labor.
